RECOGNITION FOR VOLUNTEER SERVICES
2010

UA Rotary Northwest Woman of the Year Award

Each year, the Rotary Club of Upper Arlington recognizes and honors women in the northwest area who are improving the community through their significant volunteer service.

Honorees are nominated by others in the community and are asked to submit a vitae of their volunteer service during the past ten years. A panel of judges then selects the top 5-6 candidates based upon the number of volunteer service hours of each candidate and the positive impact those service hours have made in the community.

2018-Present Teaching and Learning Committee Worked with Superintendent Paul Imhoff and administration to support and provide students with the instruction, support, guidance and inspiration to fulfill their academic potential. Her work supports the district’s mission to Challenge and Support Every Student Every Step of the Way.

2012-2019 Upper Arlington School Board President in 2015 and Vice-President in 2014 and 2019.
2014-Present Finance Committee
 Work with UA School Treasurer on finance related areas a monthly basis.
2014-2016 Communication Committee Served on the Board Committee dedicated to a communication plan, community engagement, quality profile, strategic planning and social media on a bi-monthly basis.
2013-Present Upper Arlington Community Improvement Corporation 501(c)6 that acts as an advisory board for Upper Arlington's economic development efforts.
2011-2017 UA Education Foundation Executive Board Trustee; Member of Grants Committee
2010-2009 Upper Arlington High School Flex Credit Committee Proficiency Sub-Committee Member: Created policy and procedures for program.
Upper Arlington High School PTO Executive Board Adviser: Advise Executive Board. Attend monthly Executive Board Meetings and General Membership Meetings.
Senior Celebration Event Committee Co-Chair Providing and soliciting donations for food.
2009-2008 Upper Arlington High School PTO President: Coordinated PTO events and committees. Raised over $35,000 from membership and other PTO sponsored events. Conducted monthly Executive Board Meetings, PTO General Membership Meetings and Upper Arlington Schools President's Council. Coordinated and wrote a monthly PTO newsletter. Established the Smarties Guide for UAHS Parents; created and furnished the UAHS Senior Area.
Upper Arlington President's Council President: Coordinated issues and shared projects between Upper Arlington School District and all PTO's within the Upper Arlington School District. Met informally on a quarterly basis with all PTO Presidents and Vice Presidents. Council met quarterly with the District Executive Board.
2009-2015 Upper Arlington High School Business Advisory Council Council Member: Solicited businesses for Summer Job Fair at UAHS.
Upper Arlington Education Foundation Golden Bear Bash Committee Member:Set up event and live auction
2008-2007 Upper Arlington High School PTO Vice President: Coordinated application process, review and award of semi-annual mini-grants.
Celebearty Event Committee Member: Tips for Technology dinner event: Raised $11,000 for technology for UAHS.

2008-2004 Upper Arlington Civic Association The Walk Volunteer: Walker and Captain (1 year) for my neighborhood
2007 Upper Arlington High School PTO Senior Celebration Event Committee Co-Chair: Provided food for 300 Senior students free through solicitations and donations.
2007-2006 Hastings Middle School PTO Outdoor Learning Center Co-Chair
Raised $38,000 and coordinated the building of the OLC.
2007-2005 Hastings Middle School PTO Landscape Committee Co-Chair:Coordinated Beautification Project: Front entrance of HMS.
2006, 2005 Upper Arlington High School PTO Scholarship Committee Member: Coordinated application process, reviewed & awarded Senior Scholarships and Teacher Enrichment Award.
2005-2003 Hastings Middle School PTO Directory Co-Chair:Solicited ads and coordinated printing of HMS Directory.
2002-2001 Greensview Elementary School PTO President: Coordinated PTO events and committees. Conducted monthly Executive Board Meetings, PTO General Membership Meetings and attend the Upper Arlington Schools President's Council. Coordinated and wrote a monthly PTO newsletter. Established The Greensview Art Endowment Fund with the Upper Arlington Education Foundation. Completed the Greensview playground equipment project.

1999-1997 Mount Carmel Health System Champagne & Diamonds Steering Committee: Solicited items for Silent Auction to benefit the Mount Carmel Mobile Mammography Program.
1996-1995 Kinder Key of Nationwide Executive Board Adviser: Children's Hospital Executive Board Adviser, Children's Hospital Advised Executive Board. Attended monthly Executive Board Meetings and General Membership Meetings.

1995-1994 Kinder Key of Nationwide Executive Board Adviser: Children's Hospital President: Raised $85,800 for the Children's Hospital Heart Center. Fundraisers included: Membership, Caroling Drive, Festival of Trees, and the Angel Drive. Met monthly with Executive Board, and General Membership Meetings. Coordinated and wrote the monthly Heartline newsletter for the Hospital.
1995-1993 Women's Auxiliary Council of Nationwide Children's Hospital Board Member: Coordinated and shared Kinder Key's efforts with all Women Auxiliaries of Children's Hospital.
